Activist Malala Yousafzai | Classic Tee
“The terrorists thought they would change my aims and stop my ambitions, but nothing changed in my life except this: weakness, fear and hopelessness died. Strength, power and courage was born … I am not against anyone, neither am I here to speak in terms of personal revenge against the Taliban or any other terrorist group. I’m here to speak up for the right of education for every child. I want education for the sons and daughters of the Taliban and all terrorists and extremists.” – Malala Yousafzai, speaking before the UN, July 12, 2013
Malala Yousafzai, our youngest #ModernMuse, proves that women and girls can affect real, positive change in the world, no matter your age. In 2014, among many other recognitions, Malala became the youngest Nobel Peace Prize recipient for her relentless advocacy and activism for girls’ education around the world. She opened a school in Lebanon for Syrian refugees, funded by the Malala Fund, which offers education and training to girls. Check out the 2015 documentary “He Named Me Malala” or her book “I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban” to learn more! A portion of the proceeds from this shirt will go to the Malala Fund to “raise girls’ voices and ensure every girl has access to 12 years of free, safe, quality primary and secondary education.”
