#ModernMuse: Social Entrepreneur Ami Doshi

When we caught up with Social Entrepreneur Ami Doshi, you can bet we were thrilled that she shared her story. This businesswoman, wife and mother of two adorable kids has built a nearly two-decade career of experience that led her to found Milaap in 2014. Milaap’s mission, “to provide low-cost microloans to the working poor of India to empower them to live dignified, self-sufficient and healthier lives,” is truly making an impact on the families with whom they work. We hope Ami’s work can inspire you to follow your passion and to find a way to put your own skills and experience to work for a better world, no matter how big or small. #UGauGrrl!

#ModernMuse: Philanthropist Tammy Nguyen Lee

Dreaming big, working hard and staying true to herself has all made this week’s #ModernMuse Tammy Nguyen Lee the inspirational force she is today. As the Producer and Director of the award-winning documentary Operation Babylift: The Lost Children of Vietnam and Co-Founder and President of Dallas-based nonprofit Against The Grain Productions, Tammy has dedicated her life’s work to telling others’ stories as well as providing a platform for Asian Americans to showcase theirs. She took an unconventional path following an unconventional journey and continues to show, by example, that through determination and, most importantly, the power of community, anything is possible.
